Creating your own prompt is where TypeBoost really shines.
You can define exactly how the AI should behave, respond, and rewrite your text.
Let’s walk through how to do it, step by step – using a fun example:
👉 “Make this text sound like IKEA wrote it.”
Here, you’ll see a list of your saved prompts on the left – and details for the selected prompt on the right.
Before writing your actual prompt, you can define some useful details:
Prompts in TypeBoost are structured like a mini conversation.
You define how the AI should behave by filling in system, user, and optionally AI messages. You can learn more about the different roles in What are prompts?.
Before writing it, ask yourself: What exactly do I want the AI to do – and how should the result sound?
This is your chance to be specific.
Here’s an example system message for our IKEA-style rewrite:

TypeBoost will automatically insert the selected text as the last user message every time you run a prompt.
